to support the arts in Northport, Michigan
We do this by:
1. Creating venues for artists of all kinds to exhibit, enact, market their work
2. Providing vehicles for teaching, integrating, networking the arts

SPARK! An Exhibition of Artists Under 40

SPARK! is a juried exhibition of artists ages 18-39. The exhibition will take place June 16 - 25, 2017 at the Northport Village Arts Building (301 Mill Street, Northport, MI) with an opening reception on Friday, June 16 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. 

Our Jurors

Jimmy Linenberger is a visual artist, musician, and performer with over 10 years of kinetic arts and performance experience. He is co-owner of Cirque Movement, a circus arts company based in Leelanau County that performs and teaches throughout the country.  He has organized numerous multi-disciplinary art programs in Northern Michigan and across the U.S.  He is also a songwriter and musician for Little Omena and a pen and ink artist.

Jenee Rowe is an artist, designer, and owner of Breakwater Company, a Leelanau County-based business that makes handmade luggage and home decor from upcycled sail cloth and marine canvas.  She has over 20 years of experience as a weaver working in her family's fiber arts business. She enjoys exploring screen printing, watercolors, ceramics, and the natural world.
