Awesome news! Tom could be coming home this weekend. He said he's feeling better than he has in a long time and walking 2000 steps or more each day.
Tom has been transferred from Traverse City Munson Hospital to Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids. Heart surgery is planned for 2/14/18. He will remain in Grand Rapids for at least 2 weeks after the surgery then home for continued rehab.
Please keep Tom in your thoughts and prayers.

PHOTOS FROM MEMBERS' SHOW/ OPENING OF VILLAGE ARTS BUILDING
MEETINGS OF THE NORTHPORT ARTS ASSOCIATION: We always meet the second Monday of the month. Feel free to join us, whether you are an artist of any kind or just interested in art.
Northport couple Bill and Nina Collins built the Village Arts Building where we are able to have classes, activities and events. We need people with all kinds of expertise to help our organization evolve to support this opportunity.
Please join or donate now. Membership is $35 annually or $55 for families. Checks can be sent to Northport Arts Association, P.O. Box 262, Northport, Mi. 49670.
The new Village Arts Building created by Bill and Nina Collins for the Northport ARTS Association.
It opened on October 22, 2016.
Here are Nina and Bill Collins, with their great grand daughters, Christine and Amelia Aspen. Bill and Nina have built the Village Arts Center to support the arts in Northport. This building will not only be a location for events and classes sponsored by the Northport Arts Association; it will also be a place where the Leelanau Township Community Foundation will meet, and will be used by the Northport Community Arts Center for some meetings and classes. The Collins Family has always been involved in the arts, but their support of Northport is not limited to this wonderful building. They also built Northport Creek Golf Course and sponsored Tuckers of Northport, making major contributions to the economy of our village. Thank you Nina and Bill for all that you do.
